Hello! We are Dave and Hollie, owners of the Mapletown, USA; a heritage collection of  historical buildings and businesses that each provide unique old-world experiences to visitors, tourists, and shoppers. The Mapletown, USA brand includes the Mapletown Manor, the Mapletown Mercantile, the soon-to-be MapleWorks Heritage Hall, and the Manor & Mercantile (online shop).

  • The Mapletown Manor is located at 119 N 4th. St. in beautiful Osage, Iowa (known as The City of Maples). The Manor is an 1860's historic Italianate home built by Dr. John Whitley shortly after the end of the Civil War. Dr. Whitley was married to Ada Chase Whitley, daughter of Dr. S.B. Chase. The Chase and Whitley families were pioneers in the medical field in Mitchell County and helped establish and build the town of Osage. They were also responsible for planting hundreds of lovely Maple trees throughout the town, giving Osage its nickname of 'The City of Maples'.

  • The Mapletown Manor is open to the public throughout the year for various events, small-venue rentals, tours, and holiday experiences. www.MapletownManor.com.

  • The Mapletown Mercantile, located in a 2-story 1900 historic retail building at 615 Main Street in Osage, IA, is an exciting new addition to the Mapletown business ventures. The building was originally a cigar shop and then housed a barber shop for the last 60 years. The Mercantile now offers a variety of whimsical products and experiences in an old-world fashion. Products include Victorian and vintage-style new and used home goods, antiques, decor, books, candles, soaps, jewelry, gifts, tea, and baked goods. The Mercantile will be available to rent for events, gatherings, and meetings. A perfect space for clubs and groups in search of a unique and intimate space. A grand opening and ribbon cutting event is planned for Friday, May 1, 2026. More details will be released over the next several months as we work to finish the interior renovations. Stay tuned.. small town magic is on the way!

  • MapleWorks is the newest addition to the Mapletown collection. This 7,700 SF building located one block south of Main St. in Osage at 118 S 6th St. was originally built as the area's local livery and stable in the mid 1800's. As transportation trended away from horses and carriages, the building stayed true to its roots and remained a service provider for the automobile industry for the next 120+ years. Most recently known as Mills Motors, will soon be MapleWorks Heritage Hall. This facility will serve many functions. A woodworking shop for handmade furnishings and wood-crafted products, an antiques barn for larger sales events, and a rental space for artists, photographers, vendors, and small businesses in need of industrial space with a historic flair. This building will undergo renovations and be open within the next two years.

  • Last but not least is the Manor & Mercantile. This is the online and expanded version of the Mapletown Mercantile, offering hundreds of old-world, Victorian, and vintage-style products to view and purchase amytime. The site is live, but will be officially launched on May 1st, 2026 along with the physical Mercantile store. â€‹
